We are an Independent Design and
Draughting Engineering Consultancy
based in Derbyshire.
We offer expertise in the medium to
heavy engineering environments.
We particularly specialise in the
design of steelworks strip process
and mill equipment.
 

Development of Steelworks Equipment encompasses Design in a broad selection
of engineering disciplines:-

General Mechanical design,
Special Purpose Machinery,
Structural Steelwork Design (incl. Seismic) to BS449 and FEMA 102,
Cranes to BS2573 parts 1 and 2 and API 2C
Mechanical Handling,
Hydraulic and Pneumatic System and Pipework Design.
Telescopic and suspended cleaning/maintenance equipment.
Civil profile Design Layouts indicating normal, high and peak loads
 
Stress analysis (calculation by hand or excel) of equipment to be supported/contained whether static, dynamic or rotational loads.
 
Site survey and inspection of manufactured engineered equipment.
Installation supervision and commissioning.

Preparation of foul and surface water drainage systems including holding and pumping installation schemes. Station details

Additionally, if so required, we are able to liaise on your behalf with both your client and/or end user at a senior level.
Also with suppliers and manufacturing workshops regarding acquisitions, cost
and delivery.
Liaison with external H&SE personnel.
Chair Design Review and Progress Meetings.
Checking of drawings and calculations.
Creating as necessary and maintaining records of drawings and documentation to ISO9001 if so required.

We also offer a comprehensive detail draughting service c/w BOM's, cutting lists, bolt lists etc for plant layout, mechanical and structural projects.
Work can be undertaken on either clients premises or at base office (fully equipped) or a combination of both.
Extensive register of suitably qualified sub contract Design Engineers and Draughtsmen to assist on larger projects.
Rates, by negotiation hourly on 7 day terms for assignments on clients premises.
Fixed price quotation on 28 day interim terms for projects undertaken in base office.

Experienced users of AutoCAD 2D, Microsoft Word and Excel.
